Ungagged Episode 20 – Double Male-Bag

Description of Show

Now that we’ve hit 20 episodes of the Ungagged podcast, its time for another dip into the mailbag (last time was Episode 10!). Before we do that, we run down some very important stories of the day.

Show Notes

  • In the News
    • Fascist Furries find themselves unwelcome in polite fur-ciety.
    • Every woman needs a healing crystal dildo by Chakrubs for the ultimate in luxury stone age masturbation.
    • Finally, the world’s prayers have been answered. We’ll now all have the same set of unintelligible toilet iconography to try to understand while sitting on the shitter.
    • Dude, bro! Come check out my SCUBA bong! What could go wrong?
  • Listener Letters
    • A listener from the wilds of Western Washington thanks us for helping them feel more a part of the community even in relative isolation
    • Next, we answer some questions about J-Lube recipes. Add Methylcellulose for a thicker viscosity. Use salt for easier cleanup. Check out Drew’s recipe of Lion Cream Lube for more.
    • A listener in a dark place asks for advice with a newly polyamorous relationship that has not turned out as they hoped.
    • Frederik, a.k.a. ToyTorture, writes us about some further information about E-stim safety.
    • PiercedLeather asks the pups about how to achieve sub headspace.
    • A UPah pup writes us to share his connection with the show
    • The pups give advice to a listener with a really tight hole that needs some stretching help.
    • A listener loves the affirmation of knowing their not alone in their perversions, we love them too!

Episode 203 – Harshing My Buzz

Description of Show

Sex, drugs, and beating balls. On this episode we have a discussion with Ungagged hosts Drew and Mikey about drugs, sex and kink. We go down a list of the most popular drugs and talk about our experiences of each. Some of them are awesome and totally safe to use in a controlled situation, others you had best steer clear!

Show Notes

  • Introducing Now What? our new recurring segment for the show. We decided in this new political era to take proactive action to protect our rights.
  • Sparky runs down a list of Senators to target, support, and watch to get ready for the next midterm election in 2018.
  • Our topic is drug use in kink play and sex. We are exploring this topic to be open beyond the stigma and share our own experiences from the past.
  • Pot has so many code words! As it is legalized, it is becoming a lot more common as a part of sex the way that alcohol has been. “I have introduced plenty of people to pot for the first time!” “Tell me more about it, Bill Cosby?”
  • Heroin or opium has strong effects and is very addictive. It’s dangerous to use in risky sexual situations and the effects are so strong that we would never suggest or consider it for sexual play (or for any other use).
  • “I love me some cocaine, if there was some cocaine here right now I would snort it!” We take a trip back to the 80’s and talk about why coke isn’t terrible in general. However it’s not completely compatible with sex or kink play for everyone. It can kill your boner.
  • Methamphetamine have similar effects to cocaine, but much more addictive. It can have devastating effects with long-term use. We don’t recommend trying it and won’t play with others using it.
  • Party drugs like MDMA and Ecstasy makes everything in the world feel sexy, except maybe sex itself. Some say it makes for the best sex they ever had. There’s an alphabet soup of different cocktails and combos of drugs that some think have the best feeling, but generally you’ll have to pay for the pleasure on the other end. “She took her shirt off… and I remember playing with her boobs and having the best time!”
  • K. This special drug was developed to knock out horses. You can fall into a K hole and just be happy existing. It probably will make you boring, which isn’t very sexy. Similar drugs are PCP and Salvia. They get you disoriented and you will make bad choices.
  • Hallucinogens make every boring situation seem exciting thanks to the phantom dicks popping out of every surface. Some really love sex with them, although it’s not compatible with most kink play. “That can be the worst 20 minutes of your life trying to eat a bag of mushrooms.”
  • Know your environment and don’t over-do it. Do your research and talk to a friend. Keep this number and call for help if it is not an emergency: U.S. Poison Control Hotline 1-800-222-1222. Visit Drugslab on YouTube to see some scientifically presented visuals of the effects of different drugs.

Episode 202 – Pop Goes the Kinkster

Description of Show

A few months ago the local news weekly, The Stranger, sent a reporter over to our show to do a story about us and other kinky online educational resources from the Seattle area, and thus was the first time we met Matt. He is a sweet guy that did a great write up about our show, so we have invited him back to have a talk with us about how kink culture and pop culture sometimes interact (as sometimes doesn’t). Always fun to hear from matt!

Show Notes

  • A listener letter asking about bar etiquette. The guys talk about extending yourself to others at the bar…verbally that is! More information about bar etiquette can be found in a past episode of the pup’s podcast – Ungagged 4: The Devil is in the Details.
  • Our guest Matt Baume talks about his relationship to the kink community as a journalist who is an advocate of kink from outside the kink community.
  • How does kink and pop culture link up? We talk about different examples in gaming (Ironbull), in movies (Secretary), and in music (Madonna…duh!)

About Our Guest

Matt Baume makes his third visit to the NoSafeWord podcast! Matt is a Seattle-based writer, storyteller, and video maker whose work focuses on LGBT issues, nerds, and anything that is strange and wonderful.

Matt hosts the podcast The Sewers of Paris, where gay men share stories about the entertainment that changed their lives. He is the author of the book Defining Marriage and hosts a podcast of the same name where he and his partner joke and chat about queer issues.

He is currently working on a project called Playing With Pride, featuring personal stories about what happens when queer culture and game culture collide. You can get in touch @mattbaume on Twitter, and check out his YouTube channel for weekly videos about LGBT issues.

What Does NoSafeWord Mean?

To welcome all of our new readers and listeners, I wanted to repost this post from December of 2011 by Sparky explaining the meaning of the name NoSafeWord to this blog and podcast:

First, it is a play on words, meaning that there is no subject that I think should be off the table for the discussion of kink and play. We need to talk about this stuff, get it in the open and explore. It is how we all get better and grow.

Second, and probably more importantly, I have found setting up safe words to be unnecessary when the scene is done right. When I sub I want a top that knows what they are doing so well, and can listen to my reactions in order to push me to the edge without going over, that the use of a safe word is unnecessary. When I top I want a boy to turn themselves over to me and understand that I am not going to take them where they can’t go, and to level complete trust onto me.

Does this mean I never use safe words? No, I have and will again. Does it mean that I will only play with boys who won’t have a safe word backup? No, I do and will again.

But as I grow in my kink the need for the safe word as a tool for ensuring safety and control within a scene becomes less and less necessary for both parties, and when I play with someone more and more, having less of a need for a safe word between us because we know each other so well become erotic in itself.

That is what I am striving for. And will always strive to get better at.

For further background about the development of NoSafeWord listen to the first episode of the podcast – Starting It All or check out the crew that puts this all together.

Sparky

Sparky started in kink about 10 years, with his first passion being rubber and puppy play. He started off learning at the end of Stompie’s leash, the founder of PupZone.com, and his partner Squirm, the founder of Rubberzone.com. Sparky later became the collared pup of Oniell67, who taught him a great deal about rubber and neoprene at the start of his journey into kink.

Shortly after moving back to Seattle nearly seven years ago, Sparky met his partner in all things, Damien. From the beginning our goal was to build a leather family in the mold on the Daddies that have become prominent mentors in their lives, Daddy Chuck and Daddy Chris. As Sparky has embraced his own Daddy side, he has welcomed in his leather brother Daddy Tony and his puppy Mikey. And in the last year become blessed with his own boy, Boy Trav.

There have been so many influences and guides in the journey Sparky has taken in the last few years, both near friends as well as those in the extended network of kinksters all across the world. He is looking forward to bringing their voices to this podcast, extending to all the newbies out there the benefit of collected wisdom gathered in this kinky world!

Daddy Tony

Daddy Tony began exploring the amazing world of Leather/BDSM back in the early 1990’s in Portland Oregon.

His introduction to BDSM was a bull hide flogger. The smell of the hide, the thud of the tails, and rush of endorphins sealed his fate… He’s not turned back since.

Daddy Tony moved to San Francisco in 1995 where his journey continued.  He was blessed with some amazing mentors, teachers, playmates, and friends that opened his eyes to what a Leather Community is all about.

His favorite kinks include any type of impact play, D/s energy exchange, cum control, milking, CBT, and of course any type of Bondage, from light ropes to fully encasing boys in Leather, rubber, and of course duct tape. There are plenty more kinks he enjoys, just ask for the list. J

In addition to being a sadistic Bastard, Daddy Tony has been performing Stand Up comedy up and down the West coast for years, and is looking forward to one day staring in his own sit-com or Kinky Podcast whichever comes first, oh. Wait. I guess we know who came first :)

He now lives in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest with his amazing boy!

Mikey – bndgkid

Mikey is a  kinky nerd who can never seem to get enough bondage. That is one of the reasons he and Daddy Tony are such a great team! When it comes to bondage, even when it seems like there is a ridiculous amount of restraints, chains, and straps, he loves about 10 more added on top of that (at least). Cum control is another of of Mikey’s favorite things, and can guarantee that a gag will help keep him as quiet as possible, which is not very! CBT, tickle torture, ball stretching, and did we mention that his nipples are wired directly into his cock? Mikey moved from Seattle to San Francisco in 2006, where he met Daddy Tony and was very active in the SF Leather Community, including a leather title of SF Leather Daddy’s boy XXVII, as well as hanging out with the awesome folks over at Serious Male Bondage. After moving to Seattle with Daddy Tony in 2011, they met Sparky and the rest of the pack, and the rest is history!
